Moksha, Moksha Flow, Prenatal, Yin, Breathwork & Meditation Instructor
After 15 years in a fast paced, high-stress advertising job and bringing up three children to adulthood, Lyn would say life took a sharp turn to the right. She came to a serious personal yoga practice about 13 years ago when paths crossed with a thoroughly inspiring Hatha yoga teacher. Through a contra arrangement, which allowed her to study with him on a private basis, Lyn developed a deep love for asana practice. From here she dove into meditation with a Tibetan Buddhist teacher from the Kagyu lineage. Again finding herself a single student with direct guidance, she developed a strong meditation practice. For the past 9 years Lyn has studied with this and many other non-dualist teachers from all parts of the world – going on course whenever possible and participating in yoga workshops, retreats, regular sangha meditation and study groups.
It seemed a natural thing for Lyn to do her Moksha training in India in the spring of 2008 and she has been teaching ever since. In 2010 Lyn became certified in Yin and In 2012 took her Prenatal Yoga certifcation.
As well as teaching yoga asana classes, Lyn also leads a mindfulness meditation group at 6:30 on Tuesday evenings at the Markham studio and welcomes all to come out to deepen their yoga practice with the exploration of the mind/body connection through meditation.
“It is the essence of our practice – the uncovering of what and who we really are”
Lyn enjoys teaching a well-rounded practice of Yang, Yin, Breathwork and Meditation and has brought all of that together in her most favourite class, designed especially for the students at the Markham studio – the 90 minute Yin/Yang Fusion class at 8:30 on Thursday evenings.
If you haven’t already done so – come on out and try it!
